Exterior Tips

• Move cars from driveway and front of home

• Close garage doors

• Sweep driveway, porches and walkways

• Mow the lawn

• Trim shrubs, pull weeds, and clean up fallen sticks & leaves.

• Remove trash cans, recycling bins, garden hoses, and sprinklers from view

• Clear yard by removing toys, sports balls, soccer goals, trampolines, etc.

• Clean patio furniture, put umbrellas up if in season, and remove grill covers

• If you have a pool, make sure all equipment and toys are out of sight, and turn on fountains/water features

• Enhance curb appeal with a front door wreath, pots of greenery, or fresh flowers

General Interior Tips

• Thoroughly clean your whole house (vacuum carpets, mop hard floors, wipe down countertops, clean mirrors and windows)

• Turn on ALL the lights (overhead lights, lamps, stovetop light, cabinet lighting, etc.). The more light the better!

• Replace any light bulbs that are burned out

• Turn ceiling fans off so they don't blur

• Turn off all TVs and computer screens

• Open blinds/window treatments and make sure blinds are level with each other

• Remove dog crates, animal beds, food/water dishes, and toys from around the house

• De-clutter, De-clutter, De-clutter...less is more!

Kitchen Tips

• Clear countertops off completely, leaving only a few small appliances or decorations if you wish

• Remove dishes from the sink and wipe clean

• Remove magnets, papers, photos, etc. from the refrigerator

• Remove any visible child locks from cabinet doors

• Hide garbage can

Dining Room Tips

• Clear table and wipe down the table top

• Use decorative place setting if available

• Choose one center piece such as a bouquet of flowers

• Straighten all chairs and space them evenly

• Remove booster seats and high chairs

Living/Family Room Tips

• Remove stacks of papers, tissue boxes, magazines, remotes, etc.

• Fluff pillows

• De-clutter the fireplace mantel (again, less is more!)

• Turn on fireplace in season if possible

• Remove kid's toys

Bedroom Tips

• Make all beds

• Press bed linens and bed skirts

• Clear all personal items off of night stands

• Hide charging cables

• Remove clutter from top of dressers

• Remove items stored under the beds that may be visible

Bathroom Tips

• Put toilet seats down

• Clear countertops completely (No toothbrushes, soaps, deodorant, etc.)

• Remove shampoo, soap, loofahs, etc. from showers and tubs that will be visible

• Make sure towels are clean and freshly folded

• Empty trash can or remove completely
